Standards and labels: help speed up the energy transition!
Standards and ecolabels can play a role in a transition towards a 100% renewable society. One of the reason why ecolabels exist, is to help consumers to do more and to push complete sectors in a more sustainable solution. Unfortunately, only a handful of standards explicitly recommend renewable energy. And those doing it, often mention the use of renewable energy as an optional, not obligatory, requirement.

Saimaa seals have difficulty giving birth due to climate change
We’ve already grown used to news of glaciers melting and polar bears losing their natural habitat. The melting of glaciers seems a concern distant from our everyday lives, but climate change is also affecting species in Finland. The Saimaa ringed seal is a sad example of a species falling victim to climate change.
100% renewable is the solution
5 years ago, only a handful of people believed a 100% renewable economy was feasible. But now global leaders from government, business and the UN all call for a transition to 100% renewable energy worldwide to achieve the climate goals of the Paris Agreement.

Concrete results through the Climate Fund
