Where does EKOenergy come from?

EKOenergy does not label power plants. But we do take into account the origin of the electricity we promote. In practice, this means that the electricity of some power plants can be sold as EKOenergy, and that the electricity of other power plants cannot be sold as EKOenergy.

Do you want to have a particular power plant on our list and map? Contact the EKOenergy secretariat.

Note that electricity from wind and solar can be marketed as EKOenergy if all the criteria of our ecolabel are fulfilled. Even if the wind or solar farm is not listed on this website.
