EKOenergy is developing criteria for heat (and cooling). In the first stage, we are focusing on heat generated with heat pumps, geothermal heat, solar heat and heat resulting from heat recuperation.
Hereafter you find the proposal for new criteria. Between 10 December 2019 and 31 January 2020, we organise a public consultation about this text.

Proposal for EKOenergy’s criteria for renewable heat and cooling (without biomass )
Early next year, we will start another process to update EKOenergy’s criteria for bioenergy. In combination with that process, the criteria for heat may be extended to cover specific types of bioenergy-based heat too.
