Gracias a nuestros voluntarios, EKOenerg\u00eda se puede encontrar en muchos pa\u00edses del mundo y nuestros materiales est\u00e1n disponibles en diferentes idiomas. Recientemente, nuestra voluntaria encargada de difundir el mensaje de la ecoetiqueta en Espa\u00f1a y Latinoam\u00e9rica, Gl\u00f2ria, termin\u00f3 su a\u00f1o de servicio de voluntariado con nosotros. Hizo casi 3750 km en 3 d\u00edas sin tomar un vuelo para volver a Barcelona. Hablamos con ella para saber m\u00e1s sobre esta decisi\u00f3n.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1Hola, Gl\u00f2ria! \u00a1Felicidades, lo has conseguido! Un viaje m\u00e1s sostenible de Helsinki a Barcelona en ferry, autob\u00fas y tren. \u00bfC\u00f3mo se te ocurri\u00f3 la idea?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1Gracias! Bueno, en realidad otras voluntarias con las que tuve la oportunidad de trabajar durante unos meses en EKOenerg\u00eda tambi\u00e9n decidieron volver a casa en otros medios de transporte que no fueran el avi\u00f3n. Estaba Valeria, que volvi\u00f3 a B\u00e9lgica en ferry hasta L\u00fcbeck y luego en autob\u00fas a Bruselas. Tambi\u00e9n estaba Mar\u00eda, que volvi\u00f3 a Perm (Rusia) en dos trenes. Digamos que yo tambi\u00e9n me inspir\u00e9 en ellas y decid\u00ed intentarlo tambi\u00e9n. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 no ir del norte al sur de Europa por mar y tierra? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 decidiste tomar este camino? \u00bfCu\u00e1l fue tu principal motivaci\u00f3n para hacerlo? Probablemente fue mucho m\u00e1s trabajo que tomar un solo vuelo…<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me llev\u00f3 m\u00e1s tiempo preparar y comprobar que todo cuadraba que simplemente comprar un vuelo, \u00a1eso es seguro! La ruta que tom\u00e9 se basaba b\u00e1sicamente en las rutas y horarios de los autobuses. Al principio sab\u00eda que ten\u00eda que tomar el ferry de Helsinki a Tallin el lunes 13, y luego comprob\u00e9 el horario de los trenes de Par\u00eds a Barcelona. Conociendo estos factores limitantes, decid\u00ed comprobar la disponibilidad del resto de autobuses, y es as\u00ed como obtuve la ruta. Primero el ferry de Helsinki a Tallin, luego varios autobuses y cambios hasta Varsovia (Tallin-Riga-Kaunas-Varsovia), despu\u00e9s un autob\u00fas directo de Varsovia a Par\u00eds. Finalmente, el tren Par\u00eds-Barcelona y 6h despu\u00e9s estaba en casa.\r\nEl voluntariado y conocer gente de todo el mundo en combinaci\u00f3n con esta forma de viajar, me permiti\u00f3 reencontrarme con viejos amigos en el camino. De esta manera, las esperas de cambios de autob\u00fas las pas\u00e9 con amigos locales de Riga y Varsovia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfTuvo el voluntariado en EKOenerg\u00eda un impacto en tu decisi\u00f3n? Si es as\u00ed, \u00bfc\u00f3mo? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De alguna manera dir\u00eda que s\u00ed. Despu\u00e9s de un a\u00f1o de voluntariado en una ONG medioambiental, de aumentar la conciencia medioambiental en el sector de la energ\u00eda y de leer m\u00e1s sobre alternativas reales en nuestra forma de consumo y transporte, obtuve mucha informaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, con EKOenerg\u00eda participamos en varias huelgas clim\u00e1ticas y protestas junto con la Asociaci\u00f3n Finlandesa para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza (FANC en ingl\u00e9s). Ten\u00eda mucha teor\u00eda y ped\u00eda un cambio, por lo que el siguiente paso era tomar acci\u00f3n. Quer\u00eda hacer lo que estaba predicando: menos charla y m\u00e1s acci\u00f3n. Esa es una de las cosas que traigo conmigo despu\u00e9s del voluntariado en EKOenerg\u00eda. Pens\u00e9 que esta ser\u00eda una forma perfecta de terminar mi SVE (Servicio de Voluntariado Europeo). Una peque\u00f1a contribuci\u00f3n a la reducci\u00f3n global de las emisiones de CO2<\/sub>, pero es mi acci\u00f3n y contribuci\u00f3n concreta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 hay del impacto ambiental? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tambi\u00e9n hice mis c\u00e1lculos (ambientales y econ\u00f3micos). Tomando todos estos medios de transporte y tomando un vuelo de Helsinki a Barcelona, los precios fueron m\u00e1s o menos los mismos. As\u00ed que no hab\u00eda grandes diferencias econ\u00f3micas. Sin embargo, hay una gran diferencia en el impacto ambiental. En avi\u00f3n, incluyendo una escala en \u00c1msterdam, habr\u00eda liberado (aproximadamente) 391 kg CO2<\/sub>, mientras que tomando el ferry, los autobuses y el tren fueron 104 kg CO2<\/sub>. \u00a1\u00a1Casi cuatro veces menos!! Por supuesto que hay pros y contras. El tiempo y los d\u00edas invertidos hay que tenerlos en cuenta cuando se viaja de esta manera, y no siempre se puede viajar as\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfFue dif\u00edcil calcular la huella de carbono de tu viaje?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, fue bastante f\u00e1cil. Hay muchas calculadoras de CO2<\/sub> disponibles en l\u00ednea. Utilic\u00e9 GreenTripper.org porque me permit\u00eda calcular tambi\u00e9n para los medios de transporte espec\u00edficos con los que viaj\u00e9. Es un gran ejercicio de conciencia ambiental conocer tus propios n\u00fameros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfLo har\u00edas de nuevo o fue una experiencia \u00fanica en la vida? \u00bfSeguir\u00e1s viajando de manera sostenible?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tal vez… nunca se sabe. Pero si repitiera viajar de Barcelona a Helsinki, elegir\u00eda m\u00e1s trenes en lugar de autobuses y tambi\u00e9n otra ruta. Cuando viaje en mi propio pa\u00eds, seguir\u00e9 usando trenes, autobuses o coches compartidos (como Blablacar). En otros pa\u00edses de Europa, dependiendo del tiempo que tenga y la distancia, considerar\u00eda intentarlo tambi\u00e9n en tren o autob\u00fas (pero comprobando tambi\u00e9n los vuelos). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfAnimar\u00edas a tus amistades a hacer lo mismo?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a1Definitivamente! \u00a1Probadlo y disfrutad del viaje! Si tienes tiempo o quieres irte de vacaciones de una manera m\u00e1s relajada, te animo a que te lo tomes con calma y disfrutes del medio de transporte. Es una gran manera de ser consciente del viaje, los cambios en el paisaje, la arquitectura, enfrentarse a los problemas comunes como lo hacen los locales… No voy a mentir: puede que lleve m\u00e1s tiempo de preparaci\u00f3n, pero despu\u00e9s te sentir\u00e1s m\u00e1s presente en un mundo donde casi todo es instant\u00e1neo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
