Saltzen den EKOenergiaren watt/h bakoitzeko, gutxienez 0,10 euro-zentimoko laguntza ematen zaio EKOenergiaren Fondo Klimatikoari. Diru hori ekarpen hau gabe existituko ez liratekeen proiektu klimatikoetan inbertitzeko erabiliko da. EKOenergiak ez ditu bere proiektu propioak sortuko, baizik eta esperientziadun sustatzaileen proiektuak finantzatu.

Fundraising for climate projects
|Leaflet with an overview of all funded projects 2015-2018|
One of the ways EKOenergy ensures additionality is through the Climate Fund. Thanks to users of EKOenergy labelled electricity, we finance green energy projects that would not have happened otherwise.
- For each MWh of EKOenergy sold, the seller pays at least 0.10€ to the Climate Fund.
- EKOenergy does not set up its own projects, but finances projects of experienced organisations. The selected projects are also a part of larger, long lasting and ambitious projects.
- Projects focus on alleviating energy poverty and contribute to the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
- The projects are selected through a transparent and open process. Licensed sellers and EKOenergy consumers are actively involved in the selection. The final decision is taken by EKOenergy’s Board.
Between 2015 and 2019, we financed 36 projects in 20 countries. Read about our ongoing Climate Fund projects, or see more information about the completed projects below.
