Cette ann\u00e9e, le Fonds pour l’environnement d’EKO\u00e9nergie utilisera 18 500 \u20ac pour financer un projet de restauration de la rivi\u00e8re Schnegaer M\u00fchlenbach, un ruisseau de Basse-Saxe, en Allemagne. Le projet vise \u00e0 ajouter environ 600 tonnes de gravier \u00e0 la rivi\u00e8re, plac\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re strat\u00e9gique afin d’acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le d\u00e9bit de l’eau et de restaurer ainsi l’\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me aquatique. La restauration a \u00e9t\u00e9 soigneusement planifi\u00e9e par une branche locale de l’organisation allemande pour la nature BUND<\/a> et est pr\u00e9vue pour l’automne 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BUND est une organisation allemande de protection de la nature bien \u00e9tablie, active dans de diff\u00e9rents domaines de conservation. BUND entretient plus de 2000 organisations\/branches locales et l’une d’elle a organis\u00e9 ce projet de restauration. Cette branche locale a d\u00e9j\u00e0 organis\u00e9 de nombreux projets similaires dans sa r\u00e9gion et l’un d’eux a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9 par notre Fonds en 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce projet se concentre sur un tron\u00e7on d’environ 400 m de long de la rivi\u00e8re situ\u00e9 au sud du moulin de Br\u00fcchau. Le lit de gravier naturel a \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9 de la zone dans les ann\u00e9es 1970 afin d’abaisser le niveau de l’eau afin de drainer les prairies adjacentes. Cette restauration verra la cr\u00e9ation de plusieurs lits de gravier de 50 cm d’\u00e9paisseur sur une section de 200 m de long de la rivi\u00e8re, le reste du gravier \u00e9tant utilis\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er des \u00ab\u00a0nez de gravier\u00a0\u00bb sur toute la section. Ces \u00ab\u00a0nez\u00a0\u00bb sont construits en d\u00e9posant du gravier sur des c\u00f4t\u00e9s altern\u00e9s de la rivi\u00e8re, ce qui oblige la rivi\u00e8re \u00e0 avoir un d\u00e9bit plus rapide et plus sinueux. Des pierres et des troncs d’arbres compl\u00e9mentaires seront \u00e9galement ins\u00e9r\u00e9s dans la rivi\u00e8re dans le but de cr\u00e9er divers obstacles pour am\u00e9liorer le d\u00e9bit de l’eau. L’objectif g\u00e9n\u00e9ral est de cr\u00e9er une rivi\u00e8re plus sinueuse avec un d\u00e9bit d’eau plus rapide, essentiel \u00e0 la restauration de l’\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me fluvial local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les projets de la rivi\u00e8re Schnegaer M\u00fchlenbach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Comme indiqu\u00e9 ci-dessus, il s’agit du deuxi\u00e8me projet de restauration de la Schnegaer M\u00fchlenbach financ\u00e9 par le Fonds pour l’environnement d’EKO\u00e9nergie. La carte ci-dessous illustre l’emplacement des diff\u00e9rents projets sur la rivi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ces deux projets contribuent \u00e0 l’objectif \u00e0 long terme de transformer l’ensemble du Schnegaer M\u00fchlenbach en un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me diversifi\u00e9. L’objectif est de cr\u00e9er une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de zones \u00e0 d\u00e9bit rapide et lent, toutes deux essentielles pour la pl\u00e9thore d’esp\u00e8ces que l’on peut trouver dans une rivi\u00e8re naturelle. La mont\u00e9e pr\u00e9vue du niveau de l’eau profitera \u00e9galement aux zones adjacentes, en particulier aux prairies locales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La rivi\u00e8re Schnegaer M\u00fchlenbach abrite d\u00e9j\u00e0 de nombreuses esp\u00e8ces rares et importantes, qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront toutes des environnements plus diversifi\u00e9s et naturels cr\u00e9\u00e9s par la mise en \u0153uvre de ces projets de restauration. Voici quelques-unes des esp\u00e8ces qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront du projet 2020 :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La loutre de rivi\u00e8re (Lutra lutra), la moule de rivi\u00e8re \u00e0 coquille \u00e9paisse (Unio crassus), la truite brune (Salmo trutta fario), la lamproie de rivi\u00e8re (Lampetra planeri), l’\u00e9crevisse europ\u00e9enne (Astacus astacus) et diverses libellules. En plus de ces esp\u00e8ces, il existe \u00e9galement des sites de reproduction et des habitats d’alimentation pour le martin-p\u00eacheur et la cigogne noire le long de la rivi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
