Cela inclut l&rsquo;Europe du Nord, o\u00f9 l&rsquo;\u00e9colabel EKO\u00e9nergie a commenc\u00e9 son voyage en 2013. Nous sommes conscients que de nombreuses installations hydro\u00e9lectriques existantes ne sont pas durables et que leur fonctionnement peut \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;elles ne soient plus n\u00e9cessaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaque fois que nous communiquons sur l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie hydraulique labellis\u00e9e EKO\u00e9nergie, nous recevons des questions telles que : <br>\u201cTravaillez-vous avec des <strong>petites centrales hydro\u00e9lectriques<\/strong> ?\u201d<br>\u201cApprouvez-vous les<strong> grandes centrales hydro\u00e9lectriques<\/strong>\u201d<br>\u201cMais cette centrale hydro\u00e9lectrique ne correspond pas \u00e0 la norme requise pour le syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des b\u00e2timents \u00e9cologiques LEED, pourquoi EKO\u00e9nergie l&rsquo;approuve-t-elle ?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans cet article, nous r\u00e9pondrons \u00e0 ces questions et \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres que nous recevons souvent concernant l&rsquo;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 labellis\u00e9e EKO\u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les esp\u00e8ces sauvages ne devraient pas payer pour nos objectifs en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;\u00e9nergies renouvelables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourquoi la durabilit\u00e9 du secteur hydro\u00e9lectrique est-elle importante ? La r\u00e9ponse est claire : <strong>les poissons d&rsquo;eau douce migrateurs sont parmi les animaux les plus menac\u00e9s de la plan\u00e8te. <\/strong>Une \u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 que dans le monde entier, le nombre de poissons d&rsquo;eau douce migrateurs diminue plus rapidement que celui des esp\u00e8ces migratrices, tant sur terre que dans l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an. Les barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques, qui bloquent la migration des poissons et emp\u00eachent donc leur acc\u00e8s aux zones de frai, en sont l&rsquo;une des causes. La perte d&rsquo;habitat due \u00e0 la r\u00e9orientation des bras des rivi\u00e8res vers la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie hydro\u00e9lectrique a \u00e9galement un impact n\u00e9gatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selon le <a href=\"https:\/\/worldfishmigrationfoundation.com\/living-planet-index-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Living Planet Index for Migratory Freshwater Fish<\/a> par la World Fish Migration Foundation, l&rsquo;Europe a connu le plus grand d\u00e9clin des populations de poissons migrateurs d&rsquo;eau douce au cours des 50 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, enregistrant une chute vertigineuse de 93 %, suivie par l&rsquo;Am\u00e9rique latine et les Cara\u00efbes avec une r\u00e9duction de 84 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EKO\u00e9nergie plaide en faveur de solutions pratiques pour amener l&rsquo;industrie des \u00e9nergies renouvelables vers un lieu plus durable, et vise \u00e0 sensibiliser les consommateurs d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie \u00e0 l&rsquo;impact de la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie renouvelable sur l&rsquo;environnement. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ren21.net\/gsr-2020\/chapters\/chapter_01\/chapter_01\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Repr\u00e9sentant plus de 50 % de la capacit\u00e9 mondiale de production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 renouvelable, l&rsquo;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9<\/a> reste la principale technologie de production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 renouvelable et le fait d&rsquo;exiger des pratiques durables de la part du secteur hydro\u00e9lectrique fait donc une grande diff\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les d\u00e9cideurs et les investisseurs ont mis des d\u00e9cennies \u00e0 faire preuve d&rsquo;ambition en mati\u00e8re de climat, mais les consommateurs ont le pouvoir de fa\u00e7onner le secteur de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie en prenant des mesures imm\u00e9diates. En permettant aux consommateurs d&rsquo;EKOenergy d&rsquo;utiliser notre logo dans leur communication, nous souhaitons encourager toutes les mesures positives allant dans la bonne direction. <strong>En quoi l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie hydraulique labellis\u00e9e EKO\u00e9nergie est-elle diff\u00e9rente ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. EKO\u00e9nergie n&rsquo;approuve pas les nouvelles installations hydro\u00e9lectriques et exige des mesures de durabilit\u00e9 sur les installations existantes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 labellis\u00e9e EKO\u00e9nergie r\u00e9pond \u00e0 des crit\u00e8res de durabilit\u00e9 suppl\u00e9mentaires, afin de <strong>s&rsquo;assurer que des mesures suppl\u00e9mentaires sont prises<\/strong> pour prot\u00e9ger la biodiversit\u00e9. Ce que beaucoup savent, c&rsquo;est que les normes et les \u00e9colabels exigent de \u00ab\u00a0nouvelles\u00a0\u00bb installations, alors que ce sont pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les nouveaux barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques qui nuisent aux \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes locaux. <strong>EKO\u00e9nergie n&rsquo;approuve pas la construction de nouveaux barrages<\/strong> et l&rsquo;approbation d&rsquo;une installation hydro\u00e9lectrique doit \u00eatre renouvel\u00e9e tous les cinq ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme la majorit\u00e9 de la production d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie renouvelable provient de sources hydro\u00e9lectriques, EKO\u00e9nergie permet aux consommateurs d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie d&rsquo;opter plus facilement pour une \u00e9nergie hydro\u00e9lectrique plus durable que celles qui pourraient nuire \u00e0 la biodiversit\u00e9 locale. En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, il ne s&rsquo;agit pas de la taille de l&rsquo;installation, mais de son<strong> impact sur l&rsquo;environnement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les crit\u00e8res de durabilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;EKO\u00e9nergie pour l&rsquo;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 comprennent les \u00e9l\u00e9ments suivants :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Les esp\u00e8ces de poissons typiques du bassin hydrographique peuvent <strong>traverser l&rsquo;installation hydro\u00e9lectrique en amont et en aval par leurs propres moyens<\/strong>, selon les besoins.<\/li><li>L&rsquo;exploitation de la centrale garantit un <strong>d\u00e9bit d&rsquo;eau ad\u00e9quat et ininterrompu <\/strong>par le canal de d\u00e9rivation ou par les turbines.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Les habitats des esp\u00e8ces<\/strong> qui vivent et se reproduisent dans les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes fluviaux sont disponibles dans la section du plan d&rsquo;eau o\u00f9 se trouve la centrale hydro\u00e9lectrique.<\/li><li>L&rsquo;\u00e9colabel EKO\u00e9nergie est uniquement <strong>applicable \u00e0 la production d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9<\/strong> \u00e0 partir de barrages et de barri\u00e8res<strong> construits avant le 1er janvier 2013.<\/strong><\/li><li>Gr\u00e2ce au Fonds pour l&rsquo;Environnement d&rsquo;EKO\u00e9nergie, 0,10 \u20ac\/MWh de consommation d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie hydraulique est consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 des projets de restauration des rivi\u00e8res qui restaurent les habitats des esp\u00e8ces aquatiques.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Voir aussi notre courte vid\u00e9o sur les crit\u00e8res hydro\u00e9lectriques d&rsquo;EKO\u00e9nergie sur Youtube :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"EKOenergy&#039;s criteria for hydropower\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-rcUNh7vCKo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2.<\/strong> <strong>Les utilisateurs d&rsquo;EKO\u00e9nergie aident \u00e0 financer les projets de restauration des rivi\u00e8res<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/our-results\/environmental-fund\/\">Le Fond pour l&rsquo;Environnement <\/a>finance des projets de restauration du lit des rivi\u00e8res, y compris la suppression des barrages. Cela signifie que ceux qui ach\u00e8tent de l&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 provenant d&rsquo;installations hydro\u00e9lectriques peuvent avoir un impact positif suppl\u00e9mentaire sur la revitalisation des esp\u00e8ces fluviales en optant pour le label EKO\u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces projets se d\u00e9roulent dans les r\u00e9gions du monde o\u00f9 sont vendues les \u00e9nergies renouvelables labellis\u00e9es EKO\u00e9nergie. Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, l&rsquo;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 labellis\u00e9e EKO\u00e9nergie \u00e9tait principalement produite en Finlande et en Allemagne. Parmi les projets qui ont re\u00e7u un financement gr\u00e2ce aux utilisateurs d&rsquo;EKO\u00e9nergie, on peut citer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-fund-leaflet-2018-English-Germany-Schnegaer-Muehlenbach.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Restauration des habitats de la moule de rivi\u00e8re menac\u00e9e en Allemagne<\/strong><\/a>, en coop\u00e9ration avec le BUND Niedersachsen.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-fund-leaflet-2018-English-Finland-Nasijarvi.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Restauration de la population de truites brunes dans le bassin versant du lac N\u00e4sij\u00e4rvi<\/a>,<\/strong> en coop\u00e9ration avec la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 finlandaise pour la conservation des cours d&rsquo;eau (Virho &#8211; Virtavesien hoitoyhdistys).<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-fund-leaflet-2018-English-Finland-Jyvaskyla.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sauver les moules perli\u00e8res d&rsquo;eau douce menac\u00e9es en Finlande<\/a><\/strong>, en coop\u00e9ration avec l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 de Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4.<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-fund-leaflet-2018-English-Finland-Vihtijoki.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Construction d&rsquo;une d\u00e9rivation pour les poissons autour du barrage d&rsquo;Olkkalankoski,<\/a> <\/strong>en coop\u00e9ration avec la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 finlandaise pour la conservation des cours d&rsquo;eau (Virho &#8211; Virtavesien hoitoyhdistys).<\/li><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Environmental-fund-leaflet-2018-English-Finland-Kokenmaki.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La suppression des obstacles \u00e0 la migration des poissons en Finlande<\/a><\/strong>, en coop\u00e9ration avec l&rsquo;organisation de protection Kokenm\u00e4kijoki (KVVY).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2015, EKOenergy\u2019s Environmental Fund has provided financing for <strong>24 projects worth more than 400,000 euros.<\/strong> Comparatively, since most EKOenergy consumers choose energy coming from wind and solar installations, our contribution to fighting energy poverty in developing countries <strong>exceeds 1 million euros.<\/strong> You can read more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/our-results\/climate-fund\/\">our Climate Fund and the projects that bring us closer to reaching global goals<\/a> here.
