Slush, the biggest startup and tech event in Northern Europe, switches to EKOenergy.

Having started out as a humble gathering of techies and investors, Slush is now a true titan of an event, with some 17.000 visitors and thousands of companies present from all over the world. In 2016, breaks new ground in using EKOenergy-certified electricity. This means that the electricity powering the event is 100% renewable and fulfils stringent sustainability criteria set up by a network of over 40 NGOs headed by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation.  For every megawatt-hour of EKOenergy sold, our suppliers donate a minimum of 0.10 € to the EKOenergy Climate Fund, which finances projects aimed at reducing energy poverty the world over. By switching to EKOenergy, Slush leads by example in working towards a sustainable future.

At EKOenergy, we couldn’t be happier to see Slush switch to electricity worthy of its reputation for forward-thinking and openness in the face of progress and paradigm-shifting ideas. We believe that there should be no limit to our common ambition to be and do everything a little smarter.
