You can read more about our activities and achievements in our annual report <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/EKOenergy-Annual-Report-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EKOenergy ecolabel in 2021<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EKOenergy updates from 2021 include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-medium is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/EKOenergy-Annual-Report-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/Annual-report-2021-cover-320x452.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-110355\" width=\"240\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Annual-report-2021-cover-320x452.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.ekoenergy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Annual-report-2021-cover.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We welcomed new EKOenergy users of all sizes such as the French telecom operator Groupe Iliad, the Ecuadorian university ECOTEC and the Spanish municipality Espartinas.<\/li><li>We financed 13 new renewable energy projects in off-grid villages <\/li><li>We received the European Citizen&#8217;s Prize from the European Parliament and and Merve G\u00fcng\u00f6r from our Secretariat was nominated as one of the finalists of the EU Sustainable Energy Awards (EUSEW).<\/li><li>Our outreach activities included a renewable energy campaign targeting cosmetics companies. We also enthusiastically joined the \u201cTogether for 100% renewable energy\u201d campaign of Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe.<\/li><li>The volumes sold with the EKOenergy ecolabel reached their highest in 2020, with an increase of 20% from the volumes of 2019. The preliminary numbers show that in 2021, we maintained at least the same growth rate.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks a lot to all those who were involved, in particular to the growing group of EKOenergy users and licensees. Our work for a 100% renewable world wouldn&#8217;t be possible without you.<br><br>There are many hopeful signs that the energy transition is on its way and speeding up worldwide, but it is clearly not going fast enough.
