Climate Impact Partners’ experts frequently contact EKOenergy’s Secretariat to ensure smooth, accurate processing of EKOenergy-labelled volumes. As a result, the labelling process, including the audit, always runs smoothly. This helps everyone involved save time and focus on impactful action.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Climate Impact Partners is a leading global specialist in corporate climate action, formed from the merger of Natural Capital Partners and ClimateCare. For nearly three decades, they have helped pioneer new approaches to carbon finance, project development, quality, and corporate climate action. In 2016, Climate Impact Partners became an authorised EKOenergy seller. Since then, cooperation between their renewable energy team and EKOenergy\u2019s Secretariat has run smoothly. It’s always great to exchange experiences and ideas with Climate Impact Partners staff. It’s also very encouraging to see them mention EKOenergy often, in different settings. For example, Climate Impact Partners’ employees frequently present EKOenergy during sales pitches, conferences<\/a>, and webinars. They have also published website articles, such as Powering Impact: Unlocking the Value of Additionality in Renewable Energy Procurement<\/a>, and mention us on social media from time to time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four annual EKOenergy Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EKOenergy-labelled renewable energy is available for consumers of all sizes, thanks to the steadily growing network of authorised EKOenergy providers worldwide. Working with so many knowledgeable and dedicated people is an absolute honour, and we are thankful to all of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once a year, we take a moment to highlight some of the most extraordinary achievements by awarding prizes in 4 categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, we announced the winners of this year\u2019s Orchid Award<\/a>, for the best online presentation of EKOenergy, the Bamboo Award<\/a>, for our fastest grower, and the Oak Award<\/a> for the largest seller. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now it’s time for our Ivy Award, our award for EKOenergy sellers who make outstanding, ongoing efforts to promote EKOenergy-labelled energy. The winner of the 2026 Ivy Award is Climate Impact Partners. Congratulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Ivy?<\/strong> Ivy is an evergreen plant. It climbs steadily, year after year, adding verdant splendour to a variety of structures and surroundings. Through its dense structure and many unique characteristics, it offers an ecological lifeline for many species. For example, ivy blooms from September to November when almost all other flowers have died off. Its shallow, easily accessible flowers provide a massive, crucial sugar source for late-season pollinators like bees and butterflies preparing for winter. Additionally, its structure offers nesting opportunities and hiding places for birds and many others. Because ivy stays vibrant and green during winter, humans have revered it for thousands of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sat down with Alex Bookless<\/a>, Director of EAC Sourcing and Climate Impact Partners’ main contact for EKOenergy for the past four years and a great supporter of EKOenergy’s work.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello Alex, thank you for your continued efforts. For those who may be less familiar with Climate Impact Partners, can you tell us a little about the organisation and what sets it apart? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For nearly 30 years, Climate Impact Partners has been making carbon markets and renewable energy solutions work for businesses and the planet. No one gets closer to projects: we combine deep market expertise, rigorous standards, and strong project partnerships. This way, we help organisations take climate action with confidence.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past five years alone, we have supported 1,050 organisations globally. This enabled the reduction or removal of more than 58 million tonnes of CO\u2082e and the delivery of over 27 million MWh of renewable energy. That experience allows us to connect ambitious climate goals with high-quality solutions that deliver measurable impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does EKOenergy fit within Climate Impact Partners\u2019 approach to renewable electricity? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the relationship has grown, we have supported the delivery of significant volumes of EKOenergy-labelled renewable electricity. Throughout that work, EKOenergy has been a knowledgeable, reliable, and responsive partner. It provides robust verification while supporting the growth and impact of the wider voluntary EAC market.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, we see a real opportunity to scale the partnership and our joint impact. By making EKOenergy a more visible and integrated part of renewable electricity conversations, we can help more organisations strengthen their procurement and direct more finance toward renewable energy projects through the Climate Fund.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you personally value most about EKOenergy? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I value most is the way EKOenergy makes the connection between procurement and impact tangible.  Organisations increasingly want their renewable electricity purchases to do more than account for consumption. Through the Climate Fund, an EKOenergy-labelled purchase also helps direct finance toward renewable energy projects that might otherwise struggle to secure funding. It gives organisations a simple, credible way to extend their impact beyond their own operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also value EKOenergy\u2019s consistency and practical focus. They combine clear standards with a genuine commitment to accelerating renewable energy development, which makes them a highly trusted partner for us and our clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
