Once a year, we take a moment to highlight and award some of the most extraordinary achievements.
EKOenergy’s Bamboo Award is for the fastest growth rate of EKOenergy sales in the previous year. We are happy to announce that the Bamboo Award 2025 goes to Origo, a renowned service provider in the field of renewable energy procurement and provider of EACs.
Why Bamboo?
Bamboo is well-known for its strength and record-breaking growth rate. In addition to its many uses as a material resource, bamboo also stores high volumes of carbon and thrives without any fertiliser.
Congratulations, Origo!
Origo started its activities in 2014. That’s only one year after the launch of our label. Just like EKOenergy, they had noticed that too few people and companies chose renewable energy, that many were confused about renewable energy markets and renewable energy sourcing standards, and that consumers were wondering about the concrete impact of choosing renewable energy. In 2016, Origo became an authorised EKOenergy seller.
Ever since, we have been in regular contact. To discuss developments in regulations and standards, to help each other inform energy users, and to work on EKOenergy-labelled deals. Being in touch with the enthusiastic équipe of Origo is always a pleasure! And it’s very nice to see that the hard work is paying off. Congratulations, Origo, on this award.
