Companies that are entitled to sell EKOenergy-labelled energy
EKOenergy can only be sold by companies that have signed the EKOenergy Agreement.
- Here you can find a list of energy companies that have signed the EKOenergy Agreement (pdf). These suppliers and utilities can sell EKOenergy to households, companies, local authorities etc. (in the markets where they operate).
- Here you can find a list of authorised energy service providers and sustainability consultants (pdf). These organisations usually work with large international companies and often also sell EACs (such as Guarantees of Origin or RECs). Many of these authorised energy service providers and sustainability consultants are able to help energy consumers buy EKOenergy worldwide.
If your current energy supplier is not yet on our list of authorised sellers, please encourage them to start selling EKOenergy-labelled energy too. We are always looking for new sellers to take on our ecolabel and are happy to explain to them how to do it.
Also note that EKOenergy is a label for energy, not for energy companies. Almost all of our authorised sellers sell only a part of their volumes with the EKOenergy ecolabel. So make sure you don’t only choose the right seller but also that you choose an EKOenergy-labelled product, i.e. an energy product that meets our environmental sustainability criteria and contributes to additional climate action.
