EKOenergy is developing criteria for heat (and cooling). In the first stage, we are focusing on heat generated with heat pumps, geothermal heat, solar heat and heat resulting from heat recuperation. Hereafter you find the proposal for new criteria. Between 10 December 2019 and 31 January 2020, we organise a public consultation about this text.

One of the ways EKOenergy ensures additionality is through the Climate Fund. Thanks to users of EKOenergy-labelled electricity, we finance green energy projects that would not have happened otherwise. Just like last year, EKOenergy is a supporting association of RE-Source 2019. RE-Source conference is Europe’s largest PPA event where stakeholders of the renewable energy market gather and discuss the recent developments. RE-Source 2019 is also the perfect platform to network, learn and do business with key players from both the buyer and supplier side.
