Meet EKOenergy at the upcoming European and international conferences in 2022: The RE-Source Conference from 6-7 October in Amsterdam and the first International REC Standard Conference (ISC) from 1-2 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
RE-Source Conference 6-7 October 2022
Direct sourcing of renewables is the key to Europe’s energy competitiveness, security and climate goals. With its REPowerEU action plan from May 2022, the European Commission strives to achieve energy security and independence in the next few years. The geopolitical shock of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is felt across Europe in the form of a dramatic rise in fossil energy prices. The stability offered by Power Purchase Agreements is now more valuable than ever – and will be one of the main themes of RE-Source 2022.
The RE-Source event is the largest annual gathering in Europe of renewable energy buyers and suppliers. With more markets opening up to corporate renewable sourcing opportunities, RE-Source 2022 is the perfect platform to network, learn and do business with key players from the renewable energy world.
Whether you are an experienced buyer or seller, or new to this sphere, this event will have relevant content for you. Each day will be customised to the different needs and interests of our participants, with three days filled with sessions, workshops and roundtables on various topics:
- On-site generation of power
- The impact of the energy and climate crisis on energy procurement
- More and faster RES deployment: how will it be delivered?
- Pricing of PPAs

I-REC Standard Conference (ISC) 1-2 November 2022
The International REC Standard (I-REC Standard) provides a robust, transparent framework for ensuring reliable energy attribute tracking. The need for EAC standards is more apparent now than ever. With attribute tracking becoming an integral part of electricity market development, EAC standardization plays a critical role in ensuring both power generators and end users have access to credible, transparent, and globally harmonized information about the origin of their electricity.
The I-REC Standard Conference (ISC) 2022 is the first international conference of the I-REC Standard Foundation. It will welcome hundreds of delegates from a broad range of fields related to renewable industries and I-REC markets from all over the globe. ISC 2022 is an opportunity for global I-REC market actors, facilitators, stakeholders, and governmental agencies to meet each other and get up to date on the existing governance structure, upcoming Product Codes, and market developments. Attendees will have the chance to share their thoughts, visions, and experiences with their peers from around the world.
This in-person gathering will offer a range of sessions on the latest attribute tracking market information and practices around the world including developments with the I-REC for electricity as well as new and upcoming products, changing government policies, and industry perspectives. It will also provide the perfect networking opportunities for delegates to strengthen their understanding and relations for future I-REC market collaborations and developments.
