Jokaista MWh EKOenergia-merkittyä energiaa kohden vähintään 0,10€ menee EKOenergian Virtavesirahastoon, jotka käytetään jokien kunnostushankkeiden rahoittamiseen. Tälle vuodelle ja viime kevään hakukierroksen jälkeen meillä on rahastossa edelleen 15 000 € jäljellä.
