Ainakin 50% laitoksessa käytettävästä polttoaineesta on oltava EKOenergia-kelpoista biomassaa. Earlier this year, EKOenergy and the Siemenpuu Foundation organised a joint call for solar energy projects in Mali, Myanmar and Nepal. We are happy to announce that this process has now resulted in the selection of a first project. Together we are granting 70,000 euro to the project ”Solar electrification of a village and promoting

These contributions are used to finance the implementation of river restoration projects. We are now able to finance 2 to 3 small-scale river projects in Germany, Finland or Sweden. These are the countries

Sunset in Ulyanovsk, Fortum Earlier this year, the International Renewable Energy Certificate (I-REC) Standard announced the beginning of I-REC issuance in Russia. This long-awaited development is a huge step forwards for energy consumers looking for opportunities to contribute to the energy transition in the country. Serving as a tool to prove the use of 100%

Funding for solar and wind energy projects in developing countries. For each MWh of sold EKOenergy-labelled energy, the seller pays 0.10 € to EKOenergy’s Climate Fund. Our Climate Fund finances renewable electricity projects aimed at alleviating energy poverty in developing countries and regions. These are usually smaller scale solar (and wind) energy projects.
